Tales of the Northern March
Population: 22,000 humans
Andun Shire was first settled eighty years ago by farmers from the south, drawn to the newly secured frontier by available land. The shire is now the largest and most populous in the Northern March. It consists of over sixty villages and the town of Andun. Farming, shepherding, and fishing are the predominant industries and a lot of food is traded with Rose Shire for craft goods.
The current Earl is the beautiful Lady Eilionoir, whose husband died during a frost giant raid five years ago. She is technically regent for her young son Dougal but nobody imagines that she will relinquish power when he is of age. She holds regular courts demanding tribute from her thanes in the form of gifts and flattery.
