Tales of the Northern March
Diamond Hall sits on a number of rich gemstone veins and is the richest of the dwarven cities of the north. It is, however, beset by enemies from all sides: goblins from the south, duergar in the west, and frost giant raiders in the east. They have a strong alliance with the elves of the Great Glen and together they are barely able to hold their own against their foes. They both rely on weapons forged by Irondeep but shipments have been sporadic and the dwarves of the other city have begun arming their enemies, as well.
The massive doors to the hall are at the end of a ravine festooned with fortifications built into its walls. A herald at the entrance blows a horn to call for the gates to open. The Shining River flows right into the entrance, turning into a central canal. The city is just inside the doors and is full of riches. Livestock (goats and pigs) are kept in the city and grazed in the forests.
Diamond Hall is ruled by Graf Helmfried von Diamant.
