Tales of the Northern March
This large three story stone building was formerly owned by the dwarven noble house Dahl but was donated to the city for its current purpose when they returned to Stonehold. It is now used to care for the poor, sick, and orphans. Orphans stay until the age of fourteen, when they are generally apprenticed out to a local craftsman. The sick are tended to by volunteers from the local temples. The poor (usually elderly) are provided with food and a bed. Those who are fit are helped to find work. Funding for the institution comes from the annual auction of seats on the town council.
The administrator of the hospital is a young dwarf priestess named Ermingard von Dahl.
